Gail O
Something's not working right - I have power, but no go. I'm thinking it's the second fuse, but I can't find it. The one beside the power cord is fine. Thank you g
Nadia Wilson
what model machine do you have? most likely it is the second fuse needing replacement....did you break a needle or get something jammed?
Tamarack
You have to take the cover off the top to find the second and third fuses. They are in tiny black cylindrical cases with a groove on the end to remove the cap with a flat blade screwdriver, you have to push in and turn and it will pop out. There are also stickers near them with the voltage numbers for that fuse.
carolinequilts
I have a green millenium purchased in 2009. My 2nd fuse is by the power cord at the back (left side), and I don't have to take the top off. It really does matter which model you have. The newer ones have the power cord closer to the front of the machine and as Kathy says - for those you have to remove the top.
Gail O
Thank you Nadia, Kathy & Caroline. My machine is like Kathy's. And yes I broke a needle and screwed up my timing. I am in the process of retiming - taking a milk and cookies break . . just a bit intimidated, but will perservere. If the needle bar screw was any harder to get to, I might be looking for something stronger than milk on the next break. Thanks again, I think I need all the moral support I can gather right now. g
Nadia Wilson
Gail, As mentioned, check under the hood for the other fuses, Kathy explains it well with her directions. Needle bar screw: use a longer handle screwdriver to loosen it, you can get more torque with it. I hope those were chocolate cookies!
