Zora
Somewhere, I thought I saw a description with drawings of how to quilt a lattice patter, like from a stencil..showing the thread path to minimize starts and stops. Does anyone know where I might find it?
Stagecl
Sorry I can't help you. If you play around with paper and pencil, you might figure out the best way to quilt it.
Quilting Heidi
Lynn I don't recall anything recently. I know there was a thread about this a long time ago, maybe 3 years. Do a search on stitching path and see if you can find anything. If you post a picture of the stencil I'll be happy to give a shot at the stitching path. Oh and check for posts by Linda Rech, she is really good at finding easy paths.
Beachside Quilter
Is this it? http://www.apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=28942 Or: http://www.apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=30147
qwltnldy
I did see that somewhere on YouTube. I just looked for it again but cannot find it. Whoever was doing it used a white board to show the path. Bottom line was that you stipple between the lines to move from one line to the next so that you don't backtrack. Eventually you get it all filled in.
Zora
Great idea, stippling in the background to get to the next area. Why didn't I think of that! I also found a post on MQR by Sherry-Rogers-Harrison showing the stitch path if you didn't want to stipple. Thanks for the help.
