quiltingtina
Hi. I'm not sure if I'm posting in the right place, but my question is about the Fons and Porter subscription that comes with machine purchase. I purchsed my millenium in Sept, and no subscription yet. What do I need to do to get it? Thanks, Tina
annlittle1
Hi Tina, I was excited about getting that free subscription, too. I think it must be a joke. I never received one and my friend that bought a Millie never received the subscription either. Has anyone actually received it? birgitquilts
Tina & Phyllis, This isn't a joke, I received my free subscription all the way to Germany. You may want to check with either APQS or Fons & Porter directly. I'm sure, this is just a mailing issue. You'll enjoy the magazine. Happy holidays, Birgit
quiltingtina
I called Fons and Porter yesterday, they said they need to have APQS send them info. I'm just not sure who to contact at APQS. Any ideas? Thanks! Tina
birgitquilts
Tina, Just try the customer service people or your Sales Rep. That's what I'd do. Probably even Mark could forward you to the right contact. I'm sure this will be worked out. Birgit
Carolyn
I got my subscription (in Canada) right away; I had actually forgotten about it, so it was a nice surprise to see it in the mailbox. If you call the customer service dept. (APQS), I'm sure they'll take care of it right away. Carolyn
Stagecl
I had forgotten about the free subscription, too, until mentioned here. I think I was suppose to get one...never showed up. In truth, I would prefer to have a panto of my choice from Kingsmen vs a magazine subscription. I didn't care for the pantos that came with the machine and the magazine is more country style quilting than I want to do. Don't get me wrong...I think Porter and Fons are great people...just a different style. In fact, I did have a quilt published in one of their books many, many years ago when I lived in Des Moines. My style of quilting has changed since then. Cheryl Mathre Stone Creek Quilting Sandy Hook, VA
annlittle1
I've had my Liberty for 18 months and my friends had hers a year longer. I'm afraid its probably too late for us. I just wish they wouldn't say you get one and then you don't. Its probably not an important item for a busy APQS employee, so it slips through the cracks. Fortunately, its not a hot button issue with me that I'm going to worry about. Phyllis Hughes Oklahoma City www.myheartlandquilts.com
quiltingtina
Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that I spoke to Allison at APQS his morning, and she said I will be receiving the magazine as of January. We'll see! Also, to those of you who never got yours, I think you should call and let APQS know, even if time has passed. I mean, Fons an Porter have records of their subscriptions, and APQS can have them crosscheck. It can't hurt to ask (and you know what they say about the squeaky wheel!) Susanri
I bought my apqs september 2005 and my subscription started January!
SBL
I already has a subscription when I bought my Milli. However, I noticed with the following issue that the subscription date had been extended a year.
quiltingtina
Follow-up Just wanted to say that I received my first magazine last week. To anyone who hasn't received their subscription I say, Speak Up. It is worth it! Tina
Ferret
I got a few of them, but I guess mailing isn't reliable to the UK. I suspect that wne you get the first one will be partly determined by when the next issue comes out. I never did work out how often it was supposed to come out.
