Bonnie in Ok
When you quilt the small pebbles in a quilt it there a particular direction you go to make the circle after circle with out getting spaces or extra stitching?
Primitive1
I just go with everyother direction as in a figure eight and just nestle them next to each other...
Zora
Its kind of a figure 8 motion. You go clockwise one pebble, peel off and go counter-clockwise the next pebble. That will allow you to peel off at whatever point you need to in order to fill in the space.

Mrs.A
I agree with the figure 8 motion. Sharon Schamber suggests that you visualize 3 different sizes of pebbles. Start with a larger one, surround it with the 2 smaller sizes and then keep it going to fill your space. Obviously she explained this better than I'm doing. Guest Linda S
Also, depending on the size of your pebbles, you probably want a very short stitch length. They'll be a lot smoother if the stitches are short.
