kellysuequilter
I've designed this quilt for my sister and I've already stitched the teddy bears. Now I need inspiration for what to do in the 4 patches and I'm coming up blank. Suggestions, I'm thinking of a large mctavish in the borders but suggestions there are welcome as well! Wannabelongarm
It's cute - I might do a stipple on a spine to make it playful or even random loops and hearts meandering around. Not sure about the other squares, gives you some free area to play, stitch a picture, put A-B-C, 1-2-3, maybe a name and birthdate if for a baby? Not sure, but there will be more ideas coming. Quilting Heidi
Judy perhaps some cc's or tt's in the 4 patch square or you could center a design it and stipple down the background to make it pop. In the border you can do just about anything from a pretty feather, heart border, to motif's and loopy meanders. Really anything that speaks to you. witha'K'quilting
I would break up the for patches if they are large into smaller grid...and add terry twists in them. This adds a nice texture I think. You could cross hatch the outer border.
quiltmonkey
I like Heidi's and Kristina's idea. I would do a very simple block design repeated in the 4 patch blocks. This would look really cute and complement the teddy bears nicely. Maybe in the outer borders you could do a rope design, or repeat the 4 patch design around the outer edge. RoseCity Quilter
I also like the idea of a simple design in the four patch, you do not want to take away from the teddy bears with a complicated design....Can't wait to see the finished pictures....
