Della
Hi all...needing some help again! A customer told me this morning that she is doing a Willow bedrunner and for me to be thinking how I will quilt it. I looked it up and I have no idea!! Have any of you done one? Thanks for your help! ffq-lar
With the tiny pieces and multiple seams in Judy Niemeyer patterns, the best advise is to quilt what you see. SID will be a nightmare because the seams flip in odd directions. I would stitch lines parallel to the seams and any spaces big enough to add more quilting, squiggle stitches or a curl to fill the long triangles. Where the pattern shows black--stitch close to the seam with a matching color thread and let the rest pop. If you can find a variegated thread that's pleasant on all the colors, use that. If not--a thin neutral that only shows texture. You'll do great! Pics please when you finish!
Darlene Epp
Hi Della, Is this the one you mean? All I did was SID the black strips and fill in the rest with wavy lines. There's really not much else you can do I don't think. Note the different colors of thread chosen for each section.

Della
Oh yes!! Thanks! That is a much better picture, too, than what is offered in Google! Again, thanks!
