The swirling motion that you have on your feathers is so pretty and really adds to the quilt. I'm sure your mom will love this most attractive quilt with the beautiful quilting on it. Hi Judith, it is rather fluffy no name polyester batting and the Superior So Fine #50 thread that came with the machine from APQS. I was a bit surprised myself, after doing some test blocks on a piece of cheap fabric how well the feathers worked out ! It is only the 4th quilt I quilted on my Lucey and I'm so happy I bought this machine, she is much lighter and easier to move than the Millenium, which is of course THE machine out there, but Lucey is the machine for me !
