yankiequilter
I am finally nearing the end on my sister's Taos quilt and am at a total loss what to do with the border - the section with the diamonds. . The inside orange and brown borders are done and I think I will put piano keys on the outside turquoise and brown border. The corners are done. What to do, what to do? I know some of you will have great ideas!
Neher-in-law5
Maybe repeat the fern/feathers from the points in the star in the corner and do line dancing in the background pieces.
s.waits
Carmen, How about doing some straight lines that create an interlocking diamond shape. Sort of echoing the white diamond in the center of each of those groupings.
Quilting Heidi
I would repeat the fearny motif you did in the corners in the diamonds. I would either do straight lines or some other kind of dense fill to fill in the white background so the diamonds pop more. Another option would be to do some line work in the diamonds and create relief areas with more dense to creat a secondary design.
