DoryJM
For those of you that use magnifying glasses for your tiny quilting, what do you use. I'm in the market for one and I remember the post a few weeks back with a new one. Did any of you buy one of those? What are you using??
ffq-lar
I use a lighted one with a clamp that I bought at JoAnn's. It's normally $20 but I used a coupon and got it for half off. I don't use it much for stitching but it's invaluable when timing. It clamp's on the handle wherever you need it and the light is a bright LED. DoryJM
Have you had to re-time often??
Guest Linda S
Nope - I just buy higher-powered reading glasses at the dollar tree store. I don't like having the magnification attached to the machine.
Quilting Heidi
I had a clamp on one like Linda had but it moved slightly and that bothered me. I bought one from Innova and managed to figure out a way to attach it to the handles using the screws that hold the front handles on. I just got longer screws thanks to the guys at work . I love this lens because it doesn't move at all and there is no distortion around the sides of the lens. It is more expensive, way more expensive though. I think I paid about $150 or a little more for it. Worth it though when I need it.
DoryJM
Someone was advertising a magnifying glass on the forum for $75; just can't remember who. I even e-mailed her but then I had to go out of town and that was that. I'm seriously considering the Innova one...but that is a lot of moolah!! Yup it is a lot of moolah but I have to say it doesn't move, bounce or distort. I used it when I did the BAQ and it really saved my eyes. I paid for it on that quilt. LisaC
Dory, were you thinking of the posts from Robieks? She had a few posts but the information on it was put in a couple posts making it difficult to see and understand. Do a search on Robieks in forum and they come up.
