o2b Quilting
I started out doing this with the Intelliquilter and then decided to just use my ruler. Audrey wanted it quilted "just like the picture in the book". Quilt is called Whimsy and the pattern is in the book Granny Quilts by Darlene Zimmerman. TerriVB
Good for you--ruler work makes me procrastinate going out to the studio!!!
LFQuilts
Really nice job on the rulerwork. How long did it take? As much as I love freehand work, sometimes nothing beats very clean lines and curves. Lynn
CindyT
Nice job, Lucy! I shutter to think how many stops and starts you have in that quilt!
o2b Quilting
Cindy: I actually called the customer when I started this one and asked her if she wanted to pay me to knot and bury all the start/stop threads or if she would like to do it herself (I know her well...used to work with her). She said "just backstitch like you would with the DSM" Cool--that is exactly what I did!! Yes, there were a LOT of start/stops but it was great practice. It took just over 15 hrs to complete this quilt (67" x 78").
