sewhappy
I have just had it with my wholesale sewing supplier. They keep billing me for their mistake (the original order was paid in full when I placed my order). I still have not recieved a B.O. Today I asked again to cancell the B.O. they said they cannot do that-I still don't understand why. They just keep telling me they recently got new computers and blame that but I keep getting billed and they tacked on a shipping charge!! Anyway where so you get your threads and backings etc?? I need to change companies.
Guest Linda S
I like to order things from different suppliers, as so many support our industry. I order my thread mostly from Superior Threads, my backings from Christian Lane Quilters, longarm related notions from Columbia River Quilting, Kingsmen, and Longarm Supplies, and general sewing notions from Checker Distributors. ramona-quilter
I go to different distributors, too. A business license helps get you good prices on the necessities sometimes wholesale, too. Super prewound bobbins - wholesale from http://www.youcanquiltit.com I think I pay about $4.80 a doz for Superior prewounds from Sonia. Great shipping too. I get cone Superior cone thread from http://www.youcanquiltit.com too. PermaCore from the Quilted Rose http://thequiltedrose.com/threads.htm Signature thread from Kingsmen http://www.kmquiltingsupply.com/Thread/default.asp I like the no minimum order from Quilters Dream. I get Warm & Natural poly rolls from Brewer thru my LQS. The only dealer I have gone to who "bad dealed" me was quiltcentraltv.com I ordered a total to 8 sets of Signature prewounds from them; 6 were single sets (11 bobbins per set) and then I ordered 2 sets of Parchment. I only got 1 set of the Parchment. I emailed them twice reporting the shipping error and asking for the last set. I got ignored. So buyer BEWARE at http://www.quiltcentraltv.com/threadp.php I haven't tried getting the fatbacks but after looking at this thread, I might have to check out some of these other merchants.
