ffq-lar
Thanks for the encouragement, friends! Besides the wonkiness of the applied borders, my only problem so far is the black lining fabric, which has a heavier texture than the burgundy. It seems to be snagging/running a bit from the large needle we use. Plus her white batting is peeking through as well. I don't plan to do any "fixing" but will let her know a pigma pen is a great help is such instances! Stitching around the embroidery has been like slogging through mud--she left most of the paper stabilizer in and it's sticky-backed so I can't get it off. Such a lesson for me! I love you all! Oma
oohhhh.....eeuuuwwwww....I'm making scrunched up grimacey faces here for you. That royally sucks. When you're done with it invite her in for a cup of coffee and explain why it was a problem to you. I can guarantee you she never realized that and it will improve any future quilts she makes. I always say "Lesson learned", but my husband always replies with "Aren't we a bit old for learning these lessons? How about we just say no?" He's a smart man.
