jandcembroidery
This is a dumb question; but for the first time today, I made a quilt sandwich and played with free motion. Now for as long as I've been quilting, I've only done edge to edge designs, started and ended off the edges, and my bindings secured my stitches. I read the blog but I'm a visual learner and could use a video if anyone knows of one. I know how to bring up the bobbin at the beginning and secure the stitch but I'm stumped at ending the stitching. I figured you would bring the bobbin to the top as well, and when I follow the blog something doesn't come out right.

jandcembroidery
Thanks David. That's the way I was doing it prior to researching how to do it correctly LOL. I was wanting to make sure that it wasn't going to come undone once I get brave enough to work on a real quilt.
cegates
That is a good video that would have been so helpful when I first started longarming. One thing though that she did not mention is that when you are making the anchoring stitches at the beginning, make sure that you are moving the machine just a tiny bit so that you are making 'micro-stitches'. If you take 3-4 stitches in the same place without moving at all it will not hold. Carol
qltnbe
Great video. I, too, wish I had seen this in the very beginning.
