Slodge
Just wondered which magazine to subscribe to. I have only been long arm quilting for 1 1/2 years but piecing quilts for a long, long time. I prefer free motion quilting and look for any tips and tricks I can find. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Sue in Iowa
Myrna Ficken
Sue, Both are good to keep up on what is going on in the industry. Myrna
Guest Linda S
I've been getting both but think that Unlimited Possibilities is the better publication. It has more articles and information. On Track has some articles, but is largely comprised of ads. Linda
tsurich
Ditto that UP is the better publication but you get On Track with membership in the IMQA (International Machine Quilters Assoc.) which puts on MQS and supports the industry in many other ways. dtreusch
I would go with UP. It has more articles geared toward tips, tricks, techniques, etc. Debbi
renaequilts
I would think of them as two different things. UP is a magazine. On Track is a bonus that comes with membership. Membership supports our industry. I happen to write for UP and I think that it is a must have publication. I also belong to IMQA and receive On Track. Kathleen
I also get both of those however, one thing I would change about On Track is to have all photo's in color not B+W. Each publication has informative articles in them and since I am new to long arm quilting (my millie arrived last Sept) I want to immerse myself in everything quilting. So I have numerous magazines coming to the house. I think of it as investing in myself and my business.
Mary Beth
I would say that since IMQA prints On Track and it is a "free" publication, with your membership, printing in black and white is less expensive.
Kathleen
yeah, that is what I thought. I am not complaining by any means!! It's just that all the quilts would be nice to see in color. But I want it regardless, in color or in black and white.
HoosierQuilts
We like Unlimited possibilities better too. Lots of good articles that relate to quilting. If you are looking for a second magazine, Quilting Now seems to have gotton much better too. http://www.quiltingnow.com/ Jurgen
