So Fine as a top thread---

What to use as a bobbin thread?

Shall I use the same in the bobbin?

Customer brought such a thin batting, that I am afraid not to get a good tension.

Hi Andrea,

With SoFine, I normally use the same in the bobbin. But I could imagine Bottom Line as well.

I only use SoFine on top and BottomLine in the bobbin. Works great.

I think that SoFine in both top and bottom would be fine.

So Fine is wonderful when used in the top and the bobbin. I often use Signature in the top then So Fine or Bottom Line in the bobbin. I don't have any problems with tension when given a thin batt. There are times when I want the quilting to show up more so I use a 40 wt thread (Signature).

I used So Fine in top and bottom.

Only had to tight the top tension so much, that I thought it would break easily.

But, it didn't.

Result is fine, although the tops were worse then my patchwork. And I thought I am bad at that ...
