TinaC
I just posted about the problems I'm having with cotton thread. Why is it that newbies seem to have so much problems mastering cotton. For now I'm going to stick with rayon until I can attend my classes at MQS in May. I may try cotton every now and then but I need to be making money and the least frustrating way I think is for me to stick with rayon. Thanks for eveything Tina C The Quilt lady
busybee
I would look at some older entries on this subject. One was spritz with water, put in ziploc bag and put in freeze overnight. Hope this help ya. Slow down a bit and run. See if that helps. Oh, by the way Welcome to this forum. Nita
Kim
They also have silicon that you can spray on your thread well its like oil you drip it on and it helps a lot with any type of thread. I have used that. It's and easy fix to some problems with tread breaking and fraying.
JudyL
Tina: I would be careful about using rayon thread if you're quilting bed type quilts. I think rayon is great for art quilts but I would be hesitant to use it on any other type quilts.
hummingbird
Tina, have you tried the threads from Superior? I'm new at the LAQ also & I love their threads. No problems with any of them I have tried so far. I've used the Superior, Bottom Line, Rainbows (wonderful varigated), So Fine, & King Tut (100% cotton, 1"color changes). They are very good about helping you get started with which threads are easiest for new people. Which threads not to use in bobbin or in combintion with each other, etc. You can sit up a wholesale account with them very easily. Check them out if you aren't familiar with them. www.superiorthreads.com
