SherryRogers Posted September 6, 2007 Report Posted September 6, 2007 Not sure how this happened.... but when I opened my thread cupboard to pack up my threads for a upcomming move, they all multiplied!!! MarieBrewer Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Where, oh where, is Sherry going?
SherryRogers Posted September 7, 2007 Author Report Posted September 7, 2007 ... Wanna come with?! Actually, we are moving back near the area we came from a little over a year ago. my mil recently passed and my dh could not bear to give up his family home. I feel like i just settled in to this home but am excited to make the house our home!
sewingupastorm Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Sherry I have wondered where you have been as I have not seen a post by you in some time. Hopefully you will still be teaching at your new home. I am very sorry to hear that your DMIL passed away. I lost my DFIL last November and still miss him very much. Please accept my condolences to you and your family.
Mary Beth Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 I know, I was just wondering if I had just missed your posts. I am so sorry to hear about your MIL. Moving is no fun...hope it is a good transition...you didn't say where you are going, but if it's back home, it can't be bad.
Myrna Ficken Posted September 7, 2007 Report Posted September 7, 2007 Hi Sherry Where are you moving too? Myrna
SherryRogers Posted September 7, 2007 Author Report Posted September 7, 2007 Hi Gals Thanks for the dear thoughts, wish you were all here to help with the packin and sortin! We are not going far, almost back where we came from a little over a year ago. We are moving into a sweet little suburb of Seattle called Normandy Park . My DH and family lived there for almost 55 years. Updates are due but we have a spectacular garden and it is very private and serene. My studio will be the entire lower level and comes complete with 2 bedrooms, a large bath with jacuzzi tub, fireplace and full kitchen! I cannot wait to get set up and begin teaching again!
quiltmonkey Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Does that mean we students get to soak in your Jacuzzi bath tub & crash out in one of your spare bedrooms after a long day of longarm classes from you? LOL! (just kiddin' ya! LOL!) I have a Jacuzzi bathtub in my house and ohhhh I love to toss in some bath salts and bubble bath soak in it! Aaaaah!
sewingupastorm Posted September 8, 2007 Report Posted September 8, 2007 Sherry do you have a view of the Sound? My sister lives in Federal Way and that is a really pretty area. I lived in the Seattle area for 12 years before I moved away to New Mexico. I discovered my feet were getting webs and need to live in a drier climate. I do love Washington and so miss my beautiful perienal garden (living in a dry climate at 7000 feet ele does not give me many gardening options). Sounds like a great home so I hope you really get settled in and enjoy. A class this year did not work out for me but I still want to come so will be looking forward to that in the future.
laststitchstudio Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Sherry Sounds like you are organized and looking forward to your move.......never an easy task. I've done it 54 times so, believe me. I am understanding. Ya'll, I just took 2 classes from Sherry in August. When her schudule allows her to get back to teaching, jump at any opportunity to take her classes........................wonderful teacher. I only wish she lived closer. Want to reconsider, Sherry. The Smokies are pretty nice. Miss you. Oebbie McMurray said to say "hey"!
Bekah Posted September 9, 2007 Report Posted September 9, 2007 Sherry, my wishes for a smooth move. Your new studio sounds wonderful. I bet there are lots of us who would love to do classes for a weekend. you could probably never have a weekend free again if we all took turns in pairs:D
