jmcclannan
I am brand new and I've been practicing and watching videos. I've noticed my quilt seems to "bounce" when I'm stitching and in the videos, the pros don't seem to have that issue. I have enough trouble stitching smoothly and I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
BethDurand
Hi Julie, How tight is your quilt on your machine? Someone recently posted that the machine head should look like a mole moving around underneath your quilt. Maybe you\'re too loose? Let us know how things turn out. smorris
Hi Julie Check the height of your levelling bar - the roller that doesn\'t have canvas on it. It should be about 1/2" above the machine bed to keep the quilt at the right height for quilting. Check that the fabric isn\'t too tight - drum tight is too tight - it needs to sag underneath ever so slightly . good luck sue in australia
jmcclannan
OK I just loosened my quilt and guess what!! Problem solved. I knew I wasn\'t supposed to tighten the quilt too much but I had no idea how loose it needed to be!!! I have sooooo much to learn. Thanks for helping.
