Well, that says it all. And while sitting at my desk pondering whether or not the phone is actually going to ring this afternoon for someone to complain about the licensing requirements to set up a micro-processing business, I realized a couple of things:

1) This board is quite female dominated, and as a typical guy, I feel awkward and out of place at times. But this video inspired me to find a place amongst the fine creative ladies out there in the quilt world....or maybe not.

2) It is the season for fun as well as family. So on that note, if you are stuck at work, waiting to be allowed to go home, feel free to add some fun jokes, videos, or commentary that makes you feel better about the holidays. My intent is not to offend, but to get folks to lighten up and smile a bit. You'll be grumpy enough on Janary 15th when the bills come in the mail hehehe

I've always enjoyed "Winter Wonderland..."

Merry Christmas folks :D

Dear Suberservient Toady,

I\'m not at work today,,,I have today off and hanging out relaxing at home (and...yes, I am still in my robe and pajamas).

I\'ve watched a few videos now and then but I\'m not a regular viewer of YouTube but I know there are some (as you said) very creative productions out there! Some people have no shame! LOL! ;)

Here is a cute (jazzy/rock-n-rolly) version of a popular Christmas tune. Enjoy!

I think I\'ve played this little tune about 10 times this morning. It\'s an oldie... Sung by The Drifters...

This is much more fun than reviewing budget forecasts and putting together proposals for ministerial review.

couple more

its a bit of an old video that made the rounds last year, but if you like Christmas lights, you\'ll probably enjoy these. Same song, but different setups.

I too am in the ranks of the at work on Christmas Eve. Just finished my last group of the day, if you can call 2 people who stayed for 15 min. a "group". I think waste of time would be a better description. I mean, I could be home quilting after all!

Thanks for the comics Shana, sadly I can\'t see the videos here at work. Better get a move on and get my charting done.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Toady and Shana..... ROFLMAO

About the lights. I love the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and I love to see the pretty lights. I\'m just not sure that I would want to live across the street from these light shows. LOL.

We have one neighbor (about a half mile away, thank goodness ;) )who puts up too many lights. An 8-foot blow-up grey Santa, 6 foot high snowglobe, and lighted reindeer on the roof. This guy goes overboard every year with mis-matched stuff. It\'s like he bought out last year\'s after Christmas clearance sale at the local drug store. He runs the lights from dusk to dawn. Now where is our HOA when we really need it? :D :D

He strings 2 different strings on a tree and they flash out of sync so half the tree lights up blue then red or one flashes and the other doesn\'t. Reminds me of a HOTEL sign flashing in an old movie. :o

This year, still more lights but with a twist. He put up a professional looking sign that tells you to tune your radio to 88.9 FM to hear the music that goes with his display. He has his own radio station !? You lose the signal about a quarter of a mile away. Still chaotic even with music but he is definitely in the spirit. Spirit of what, I am not sure.

And every time we pass his house, I have the same thought. I certainly am glad that I do not live next door to this guy.

Hi Ramona,

Are you sure you don\'t live in Portland? There is a guy on our walk with the dogs who lives for each and every holiday. Halloween is bad with the inflatable creatures, but Christmas is worse. This year we counted 19 inflatables, plus assorted other hard plastic things. He\'s also got all of his bases covered with a creche and angels in one corner of the yard, Santa on motorcyles on the roof, and nutcrakers on the porch. I\'ve never been by after dark, that would be too scary!
