ncutt
What do you set your bobbin at with the Towa bobbin gauge? I think I had mine too tight so now I am frogging (drats)! I was using the King Tut pink and brown varigated and kept getting little brown knots on the back of the quilt. <img src="http://ak.imgag.com/imgag/product/thumbs/3126013a.gif" width="38" height="38">
Mary Beth
I set mine around 15 - 18.
Stagecl
I set for 15 - 18 for metal bobbins and prewound bobbins at 20 - 22. Cheryl
ncutt
Do you skip any thread guides with the King Tut? Don\'t know what I was doing wrong, I had my tension set around 16. I finally reset it to 15 and I think that worked. Any other threads you use with Tut? Thanks, so much.
BethDurand
I love the king tut thread, and use it a lot. I use metal bobbins, no more pre-wound for me. Towa gauge about 20, use all the thread guides and works like a charm for me. (Knock wood). Good luck. Beth
ncutt
Beth, I have been using the aluminum bobbins. Any difference?
ffq-lar
I get an occasional knot of King Tut on the back when used with BottomLine. You notice that you are getting the same color knot--usually the darkest color. That is because the darker the dye, the thicker the finished thread. Back off the tension as much as you can and slather on the Sewer\'s Aid. Tut is so gorgeous and worth the fine-tuning.
BethDurand
Norma, I guess my bobbins are aluminum too. I just meant not the pre-wound. My girl really doesn\'t like those, and I had nothing but trouble with them. Beth
