Going to IKEA

Recommended Posts

Well now, as it turns out I am driving right past IKEA tomorrow a.m. so if anyone wants the LACK lights for the front of their machine, please send me a U2U or a direct email to nineva@comcast.net (no porn please). I can pick them up and mail them to you, you can send me a check.

Yesterday was another machine day. I took off my light bar (thanks for the instructions Barb) and put on not one, but two sets of the LACK lights. Wow, they are so cool, literally. I put two on the front where the old bar was, and they do not block the view at all. Opens up a whole new world. I put one on the little flat space between the screws and bolts behind the needle bar, directly behind the other two. THe last light went on the body of the machine itself right where it curves in the front. You would not believe the amount of light those little guys put out. I love them. I put the switches on the top of the machine with double sided tape. I used pretty blue electrician tape to secure all the cords together, they all plug into my surge protector and I am good to go. You could also probably cut the wires and make them all run off one plug, which you could plug into the back of the machine. Wow, the cords are forever long. I have a huge bundle of wire carefully wrapped and secured to stay out of the way.

Let me know if anyone wants one or two sets. $24.99 plus shipping. No tax (Oregon store)

Too funny, Sherry. I saw it, but they are completely out until next week. I\'ll be getting two of those too. The bin was very empty! I even pulled it out to look behind. Oh well, it\'s only a 20 minute drive. I too love my new set up. I have my plexiglass all marked for the big a-- extended base you so generously shared with us. I am going to take it to a class shop to have it laser cut. I already had a big piece of plexiglass attached to some curtain rods to make a nice platform for my tools. Between you and Sharon Schamber, I have one awesome machine.

Dorothy, I do not know the difference. These are cool little LED lights that attach right to the machine. THey come with double sided tape already on them. You can look under the Millenium Upgrades topic and then barbm put some picures up. Maybe somebody can remember that topic too.

One more thing, THe light Sherry is talking about is a cool little LED snake spotlight that clamps on to whatever. It is a Janso and the part no. is 501.287.13. It is $29.99 and is NOT available online. Very cool little light. Literally, it does not get hot the way the other snake lights do.
