GramieSnooks
I\'m going to be making a couple of charity quilts for the humanitarian project at church and I don\'t have the time to do the piecing(Jim says I\'m to fussy). A friend suggested that I go on ebay and buy the tops. In looking at the listings I see that there are several what they called, "cheater quilt tops". What are they? roberta
I believe they are quilt tops with a pre-printed pattern that looks like quilt blocks. You can often find them at your local quilt store too.
quiltmonkey
Yes, what you see on ebay are what your friend suggests: the cheater tops. You can SID or fill in the background to make it look like it\'s pieced when it\'s actually not. Some of them on ebay look very pretty.

veg-girl
In this case it\'s not cheating but "effective use of time and resources".
