Sams Mom
I was asked which 108\' plus backings are the best. Anyone have recommendations or those you would not like to see again. Thanks, Donna
chickenscratch
Donna Fatbacks are good. www.christianlanequilters.com is their website, I think. I just did that huge customer quilt, and she said she ordered that piece from Keepsake, but I dont\' know if that was true or not because it really stretched, and their stuff is usually wonderful to use. Katydids
I like to use the Henry glass solids. The weave is nice, the stitches sink in beautifully and the quilting shows up. I don\'t run into any problems with the batting poking through. I really hate those tone on tone fabrics that have so much ink on them that they pop when the needle penetrates and then the stitches just lay on the back. Sorry, don\'t know who\'s they are just know that I don\'t like them. Fabri-quilt has some gorgeous suede look backings that have a great hand to them, but the batting likes to poke through (and yes, I had the batting in the right way). SandraC
Love, love, love the Fatbacks!!!! Sometimes when the quilt is not so big you can get a border and binding out of the same piece, as well as the back.
