gable428
I am looking at the Superior Bottom Line prewounds. I need a neutral color that will "go with everything." What I usually use as my top thread is anything from creams to browns. Suggestions anyone? Thank you:)
Lisa
Hi Gable. I think prewounds are a great idea. I always suggest, beige, white, navy and brown cones and bobbins to start. Try to show some self control when shopping though. All the Superior colors are beautiful. Superior Threads are at most of the bigger quilt shows too. Maybe you can catch up with them soon? They're wonderful people to work with. Lisa
ffq-lar
Taupe is my favorite. And cream, lace white, black, navy in that order. The taupe goes with so many colors--all except in the red family.
Jessica Gamez
as much as I hate doing it, I prefer to wind my own bottom line. You get a lot more for the money if you buy the large 33,000 yard cones.. they last forever and you will have a lot less tension issues. I used to be addicted to prewounds but now I dread using them. I use white the most but some others are numbers 618 and
nineva
Hi Gable, I agree with the above except for white. I have a gross of them and never use white. I always use the off-white, love the wheat and taupe. You would be absolutely amazed at everything that gray blends with. On green it looks green, on blue it looks blue. Really picks up the background colors. Nancy P.S. Linda, I'll bring you the white in October!!!!
