LinneaMarie
I thought we weren't supposed to wax?? Just wipe with a soft cloth. I think that is what Dawn said. I have a 2009 Millie and once in a great while I'll clean with some rubbing alcohol; the other kind I drink! hahaha
Cagey
Lynn; I use it all over my George to prevent any rust or corrosion from forming, I also use it on my table to allow the fabric to easily slide around on the table top. A little goes a long way. I wipe George down with it once a year, and the table between most quilt tops. Jamie Wallen likes the wax; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LM_axXTG4XM 3 minutes and 45 seconds. This is what the company says about their product; https://www.renaissancewaxes.com/renaissance-wax/ Cagey
barbm
APQS may have advocated waxing the rails in the early days but not now - like Linnea says, just a regular wipe with a damp cloth or piece of batting will take care of the rails. Wheels might take a little more elbow grease, but they shouldn't be waxed, either!!
AnnP
I just bought Lucy over a year ago, and was taught to wax the rails after rubbing down with rubbing alcohol to stop oxidation.
