"Separate professional quilters" ... I've often thought that quilt shows should employ the golf standard .... Have a Masters category ... Those wonderful Master quilters would then have their own category or show

Prayers and heartfelt sympathy to Roland and his family.  I was blessed to be able to contribute to her quilt.  May Roland find peace and strength in her beautiful quilt.

I have found that I use the my Circle Loard Baptist Fan boards for those more traditional quilts that come my way...bearing in mind that I have to load the quilt with the TOP edge floating down to the floor - BOTTOM edge is pinned to the zippers - Baptist Fans have to hang in a particular manner, with the "fan" flaring upwards.  Make sense?  I use the Clamshells for Asian type quilt tops.  And I use the Swirlz for T-Shirt quilts and some of the manly-type quilts.    Just the way I roll ...  have a great quilting day!

My favorite is Filtec glide called Chestnut. Love love love this color. Looks great on a lot of traditional type fabrics. Also, filtec Sand. And both have the prewound bobbins! Woo woo!!!

I was beginning to think I was the only one out here who uses zippers!  I love them.  I sit and "listen" to a tv program while pinning the backing to the zippers.  I float my tops so don't use that third zipper.  Haven't really had a lot of problem with getting stuck by a pin ... knock on wood ... love being able to remove quilt when I need to work on a "rush" job.

I'm 5"3.5" on a good day and I have a 2009 Millennium and absolutely love it.  On carpeted floor... 14' table.  I have never ever regretted this decision. I have no difficulty doing whatever I want to do with this machine.  I'm doing a lot of custom right now ... and have no difficulty with the large throat space.  In fact, glad to have it so I can start and finish most blocks within the space  without having to move the quilt back and forth. Go for the Millie!

we had this problem a while back and we turned the 2 back carriage wheels OVER ... drag eliminated ... which means the wheels are going but we still have some life left in them.  This was per APQS suggestion, btw.

just took these pictures for a customer ... encouraging her to block her wall hanging ...

well, that turned out wonky...maybe you can see what we did here... hinges are inserted so that the two boards fold towards the inside.  That way we were able to attach the grid fabric and not worry about having to have extra there in the middle.

now I just need to finish those ufo's posing on the wall ...

I have been taking it easy, not working on any customer quilts the last 2 weeks, DH is on vacation.
Tuesday I gave 3 hours long-arming hands on lesson to a newbie, she has a new to her 2002 Millenium. She lives few houses away from us.
Pieced a fun Christmas quilt literally from scraps & feel so good not spending a penny on it. It was relaxing to do a project just because & it turned out really good.
Finished hand applique on a wallhanging for our guild quiltshow in February.
Liza, you have a great quilting space & I love that last quilt, I am a fan of vintage. I've been known to rescue unfinished vintage tops & have a few in my collection that are finished, they are special.
Happy new year to all and quilt on.

dancing bear is also doing that "I've got 'em all done!" dance ... plus a few of my own small projects.  Can't wait to get to my own quilting ... day after Christmas!  I try to take some days "off" just so I can get my own stuff done.  You know the saying, "The quilters children have no quilts ..."  Well, no NEW quilts anyway.

So here we go, one-two cha cha cha ....
