  1. Hi Sharon,

I do not have QP myself, but I do know that there is an active QP group on Facebook.  It is a closed group, so you have to ask to join, but from what I've heard, it is very welcoming and helpful.  I believe Barbara Mayfield is one of the administrators, and she is also an APQS dealer.

Your charity group sounds lovely, and I wish you the best of luck in getting the information you need and with your "new" machine.

You can also contact APQS directly through their contact form on the website.  They are very helpful even if you are not the original owner of the machine (covered by lifetime warranty).

Sue, I believe the lifetime warranty is only for the original owner.  That being said, APQS service people are very helpful.

  3. Sorry I am unable to give you the advice you need.  However, if you are on Facebook, I suggest joining the We Love APQS group.  There are a lot of very knowledgeable users there, and you may very well get a faster response there than here.

    Good luck!

@dbams @ffq-lar Do you have any suggestions on comments on the wheel position for the sewing head wheels?

I found this post from several years ago.  If this is still applicable, then the sewing head wheels aren't in the correct position.  However, I don't see a way to adjust them.  It's just a regular carriage bolt that slides through the wheel then a small ring, a washer and the spacer below the axle.  The bolt goes into a threaded hole on the axle.

SueD, I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the Bliss system, and have no insight about your wheel position.  Have you e-mailed APQS specifically about how to adjust the wheels?

  5. Lora, glad you finally got everything you paid for.  I definitely understand your hesitation about posting on her page, even though you are only posting the truth.  It is a tough decision.

Have you considered posting this information on a quilting group page, or possibly opening a discussion on one of those pages asking if others have had poor service from her?  No one likes to hear that they have made a mistake, but she seems very defensive about having her mistakes brought to her attention.  It's likely that you are not the only one.

  6. Pat,

Adding pictures and more information will help you sell your machine.  Age, whether used for a business or just personal use, motorized fabric advance, additional items that are included, reason for selling, etc., are all things buyers will want to know.

Best of luck in your sale.

    Betsy
