Circle Square
I have been entrusted to finish this seven pointed star. It is hand pieced. The owner wants it appliqued onto a turquoise background and then quilted. I'm thinking of a Moda Marble or a batik. Have you ever seen a 7-pointed star ?? (Here I will try to post the photo of it.) lindasewsit
Wow!! That's pretty!! I think a marble or batik would look good! How are you going to quilt it? I see SID, but that would be allot of work! show pictures when you are done!! linda
JudyLynn
Wow Ann that is beautiful. I do a lot of 8 point Lone Star quilts but have not seen a 7 point star. What degree are those cut at? If I wanted to tax my brain I would figure it out:). Can't wait to see what you do with it. Judy
hollyc
I've never seen a seven pointed anything, that is lovely. What in the world is the angle...go back to geometry class(hated it) 7 goes into 365, right?
Boni
Six and Eight, but never a 7. Very interesting. No symmetry here:o Remember that batiks can be persnickety when it comes to thread and tension and showing mistakes. Moda marble sounds good. Just Sew Simple
I can't wait to compare the before and after shots of this quilt!
Circle Square
I was able to find only two 7-point stars on the internet. Here are links to each: North American Indian museum: http://museum.msu.edu/glqc/collections_7181.1.html A kit at the bottom of this page (only half as many diamonds): http://www.nativeamericanstarquilts.net/Kits.htm
