Grammie
What are the chances of having an open toe foot with our longarms? Just curious. Seems if you like alot of thread play it would be helpful. It might not even be a good idea. Maybe a more experienced quilter out there could comment. Wondering if anyone else would find this useful. Kari
I would not recommend it. APQS had a partially cut-out foot for a while. I found I could not use my rulers - they kept hopping into the hole. Kari Schell Brooklyn Park, MN
ffq-lar
While browsing members web sites I saw just what you are talking about---of couse I can't remember who it was! Anyway--they had their DH rasp out a section of the foot in the front. It must work for them OK. If you need to do ruler work you could have both types and trade them out. Just a thought. connie hurst
Hi Grammie, Keri is right, we had a foot with a cut-out in the front, we tried it with lots of people and we ended up getting so many complaints, that we made the foot that we currently have on the machine's.. It is a ruler foot, and the center is drilled bigger for visibility... and no cut-out! Have a Good One!
Jerri
Just a thought.... I painted the "inside" of my foot with whiteout - it helps tremendously when doing detail work.
