witha'K'quilting
I found this online and thought I would share. ODE TO MY WIFE THE QUILTER Author Unknown She learned to quilt on Monday. Her stitches were very fine. She forgot to thaw out dinner, So we went out to dine. She quilted miniatures Tuesday. She says they are a must. They really were quite lovely, But she forgot to dust. On Wednesday, it was a sampler. She says the stipplin's fun. What highlights! Oh what shadows! But the laundry wasn't done. Her charm quilt was on Thursday. Green patches, blue and red. I guess she really was engrossed: She never made the bed. It was wall hangings on Friday, In colors she adores. But she never seemed to notice The crumbs on all the floors. I found a maid on Saturday! My week is now complete. My wife can quilt the hours away: The house will still be neat. Well, it's already Sunday. I think I'm about to wilt. I cursed, I raved, I ranted-- The maid has learned to quilt! yeoldeforest
Yes, I've seen this poem too! Too cute or sad for the DH (I am playing the world's smallest violin in sympathy....lol). Just tell dear DH that he just needs to join the wife and maid in their quilting obsession and he won't ever notice the messy house again!
witha'K'quilting
Fortunately my husband is very supportive of my quilting. He laughed when I read him this poem. He actually thought it was pretty neat that one more has joined the ranks of us quilters!

raggie
Love it! My husband really got a kick out of it. He is very supportive and never gets upset about clutter, crumbs, or dinners not made. He is truly a gem! Raggie
Bonnie
Mine as well....and its gotten that if I need some new gadget for my machine, he gets right out there and figures out what I need and fixes it....when we go to the fabric store and I only spend a little bit, he asks several times before we go out if I'm sure I got it all or wonders if I didn't hurt just for him... I needed to go to Keepsake Quilting a couple of years ago...we were in the neigborhood and stopped...I knew exactly want I wanted and where it was in the store, so it only took me maybe 45 minutes to "Go, See, Conquer, Pay and Leave".....he still tell his friends that I'm a speed shopper.
