gable428
I want to do some CC's around squares, but don't have a 4 in 1 tool. Any suggestions on what I should use instead? I want a shallow curve. Thank you.
jmcclannan
I saw a demonstration on You Tube using a small circle template. She was just moving it around the square and it was working really well.
ffq-lar
In a custom quilting class, Diana Phillips (the Line Dancing Queen) used the plastic lid from a milk bottle to do CCs. What a woman! She has a light touch and doesn't jam the "tool" against the hopping foot. I guess you can use anything that works!! I have a set of acrylic circles but if the squares are two inches or less, I eyeball it with an occasional curve that is too wonky and gets unstitched. lindasewsit
Julie, Can you give us the Utube address for that? I would be very interested in watching that. I seem to have problems just eyeballing it. They never turn out very good. Thanks! linda

gable428
Linda, check this out... https://www.baysidequilting.com/store/scripts/prodList.asp?idCategory=361. It's a tool that you can do different things with. Can someone explain all the things it does?
KathyA
I do continuous curves without a template or ruler. I lightly chalk in some lines in the first few rows to get me going. Then it's pretty much imprinted on my brain muscles and I go from there. Try it freehand sometime. With practice you won't need a template.
