peglu
Can anyone tell me where I can find good bastiste? None of the few fabric stores I have access to carry it. I would prefer wider width, but at this point I will take what I can get. I am looking for white to try my hand at shadow trapunto. Thanks for the help. Bonnie
Martha Pullen has some of the BEST stuff available in the US...its mail order only, BUT costly, about $30.00 a yard, its imported from the UK, France and Switerland.
peglu
Thanks Bonnie. I'll check it out. Is there a website?
Ferret
With the strength of the dollar right now you might want to try and find where it is imported from, it might work out cheaper. Then again I buy English needles from Australia because it's cheaper. Still it's worth a look. Ferret

Katydids
I have some Swiss Batiste in 2 different weights on my website. It is Spechler-Vogel from my Christening gown days. It is considerably less than $30.00 /yd. This is imported and I got it out of NY. I am just trying to clean house on the heirloom stuff now. It is 45" wide. If interested, look under the childrens fabric link and then heirloom.
peglu
Thanks Patty! I just ordered 5 yards. If it works for what I need, I'll be ordering more. This is why I love this site. Everyone is sooo helpful. Thanks again. Peggy
Katydids
Thanks Peggy. It will go out today. You actually got the last of that one, but I do have some others that are just not on the site. Different manufacturer. We want to see pictures when it is done!
