April W
My husband made this 'Springfield Cardinal' for a guy at work. The guy asked if he could show it around....
April W
At lunch time this guy came back with a list of orders for more pieces. DH finished this and took it to work this morning. He has 3 more of these ordered, a wide mouth bass, a dragonfly, rooster, Flounder from the Little Mermaid and a Texas Cowboys emblem. Did I mention he's just doing this as a hobby? April W
Linnea, It's actually done with sticky backed copper foil that gets a bead of solder then finished with black or copper patina. Here's a project in progress, you can see spots of solder on the copper foil holding things together.

kimmiequilts
Lovely, I just love cardinals and I took a stained glass class years ago but the supplies were hard to come by at that time, way before the internet was the place to shop! Keep up the excellent work!

CWBowser
Beautiful Stained Glass. I took a couple of classes and it is hard to do and you have to be accurate. Your husband does wonderful work. Maybe he could make quilt blocks and we could buy them or boxes with quilt block tops. Just a suggestion.
