Quilting Heidi
Sylvia, Camp Mowana is in OH. It is run by DeLoa and so much fun. Here is Deloa's link and you can read all about it. This will be my 3rd year! I can't wait to meet you Linda! http://deloasquiltshop.com/campmowana2009.html
kimmiequilts
It's in Ohio, run by DeLoa and her family, they have big name teachers there for the week or long weekend. You can read about it on her website, just Google DeLoa Jones! I believe it's actually in Sept this year instead of mid October.
dixieqwv
Linda it's a really nice retreat, great food and super instructors. I went a couple years ago. SandraC
Boy, I'll have to do this one year...I figure it may only be about 8 hours away....I'm not really one that likes to drive, though. Maybe a bus trip is in order...it doesn't look too far from some of the major cities...too bad there's not a ferry to take me from Port Dover to Cleveland!!! Have lots of fun!!! dixieqwv
Sandra glad you enjoyed the photos. Lots of people connect up and ride together. The year I went my friend from Canada flew to Cleveland and then caught a ride with Heidi.
Quilting Heidi
Sandy actually I flew into Cleveland and Irene picked me up on her drive through from Canada. Sandy is right there are always ways to get rides and meet new friends. I had never met Irene but she volunteered to pick me up on her way through. Both of our hubby's joked about us going to meet up with the axe murder! :P:P It all worked out very well. We got along and I met a great new friend. This is one of the best class settings I've ever been too. There is no TV or anything fancy but it is calm and restful...except for all the information and you can go into brain overload! This year I'm driving with Charlotte. This will be her first year. Hopefully a couple of our other friends will join us too.
peglu
I'm going again this year. Can't wait. It is sooo much fun. When I went last year, I was a total newbie. Bet I learn even more this year. Well worth the trip and the money. Peggy
Quilting Heidi
So Peggy will we be able to hear the b**** in the box again? LOL that was hilarious!
peglu
LOL Heidi, no. I have switched her out for a "Jack" in the box. It feels much for natural to curse a male voice. Is Rita going again. I hope so. Maybe we can make her pee her pants again.
Quilting Heidi
Peggy lol no she isn't going this year! maybe Michele will come visit, I don't think she is taking classes. Oh by the way say a prayer for Rita she is having surgery on her hand today!
peglu
Oh dear. I will surely say a prayer for her. I did talk to Michele and she is going to try to come to visit. Hope she brings me some dyed fabric. Can't wait to see you.

dixieqwv
Heidi thanks for the correction .... I should have know that because Irene hates to fly. You're so right ... it's a calm place with no tv, phones and etc. The scenery is super nice too.
