Heirloom Quilter
I have had my LA machine for about a year and only quilt my own quilts, so I purchase some batting by the yard from my local quilt store and sometimes I buy the bagged bats for the size quilt I am finishing. I hope this helps. There are many girls and guys on the forum who have much more experience than I do who probably have better answers for you. witha'K'quilting
LA is short for a Longarm machine. I purchase my batting from a distributor 250 miles from me...so I do not know of anything in your area. But lots of places will ship rolled batting. I like Winline Textiles products. LinneaMarie
If you (or your MIL) has a vendors license you can buy wholesale from any of the manufacturers, I think. I get mine from Quilters Dream. You can also buy from Kingsmen Quilting Supply at a decent price.

Cheri-Artzgirl
I get mine wholesale from Quilters Dream. Our local shop carries Hobbs so not to compete with my friend and neighbor (she lives 4 doors down), I decided to carry another brand, this also gives the quilters in our small town another choice without having to do mail order. I love the Quilters Dream Blend and 100% cotton, just ordered their washable wool but haven't tried it yet.
yankiequilter
I have gotten Hobbs batting from Lyn Heilman. I ordered once and am planning to pick up batting in a couple of weeks. Just a happy customer. Lyn Heilman 10213 W. 98th St. Overland Park, Ks www.quiltedmemoriesllc.com 913-492-8877
