carolinequilts
Try Start - Control - Display - Setting. Choose a setting with the highest resolution (i.e. 1280 x 800) then make sure you drag your windows to make them as large as they fit (or maximize your windows). If this font is too small then choose a smaller setting...
JustSewSimple
It works the same as a desk top, girlfriend. I got a laptop also. Love, love one that actually works. Have been using my son's old Dell that is slowly dying. Good luck with yours. You will have fun learning about it! Happy new Year!
rlhdesigns
Mary Beth........there should be a little icon at the bottom of your screen that you can click on to make things bigger. Its for people so you don't have to use your readers (glasses). Hope this helps. Rebecca

njquiltergirl
Mary Beth, One word: manual. Mine has that shrinking-stretching thing on the mouse pad too. But I read about it before I shrunk everything I was reading. Have fun discovering all the things you can do and change with it!!
