Mary Beth
We went to our every 10 year movie viewing last night . We went to see "The Book of Eli". Wow!! I had to turn my head, and close my eyes a few times because it was quite graphic, but the message was very good. I do recommend this movie. If you are a Christian, you are going to like it, but you will keep in mind that it is Hollywood.
Stagecl
I have given up going to movies and just wait till they come out on DVD's. I just can't sit through the graphic parts and the overly loud sounds:o At least at home I can skip those scenes...LOL...I am a wimp!
Mary Beth
I know....it is way too loud. And costs way too much. However, Garmin gives us 2 movie passes for our birthdays and I still had mine from June 09...so I begged DH to take me out for the evening. He finally caved I can't even tell you the last movie we went to see.

Butterfly
Mary Beth, Does the graphic stuff take you by surprise, or do you know its coming? I've been wanting to see this one but don't want to see all the yuck. Jessica
Mary Beth
You pretty much know it is coming. There is usually a fight scene going on....You have time to close your eyes for a few moments.
Butterfly
Okay. Maybe I will go ahead and see it then. Thanks. Jessica
Mary Beth
My DH didn't think it had enough action. He said that he didn't know what he expected but he was a bit disappointed. I thought it was good. The time setting is after Armageddon and everything is a strange color on film.
Gator
Hummm, I'll have to go see it. I love anything Denzel is in, he's a great actor and not to hard on the eyes. I saw AVATAR and I agree it is amazing. I don't like the computerized films but this one is so "real". I used to go to the movies every weekend but no more, I refuse to pay $10.00 for a movie before noon. Our theaters charge around $4.00 more if you want to see the 3D movies in 3D. I feel sorry for the teenagers trying to go on a date these days!!! Guess we should feel sorry for the actors who "need" or can't get over $11 million for making a film.
