I have two DGD, ages 16 and 12, and have tried getting them interested in sewing, but no luck there. They absolutely love their quilts and pillowcases that I made them for Xmas and always have sewing/embroidery items from me on their Xmas and birthday wish lists, but don't have any interest in learning to sew. I have offered may times to teach them........... So this will be a very special connection between the two of you! I'm sure you will cherish it. Your granddaughter did a beautiful job with her piecing & you laid down a very nice quilting pattern on her quilt. Love it all. Looks like Granny will have some competition in a couple of years, too!
