MarkitaW
I am trying to work on a quilt and we need to use silver metallic. (doing snowflakes) any suggestions for a good thread.... one that will be strong and not break.... thanks. markita
ckirk
Cindy Roth at www.longarmuniversity.com sells a Madeira thread that looks metallic but runs smoothly. I have the gold and just spent all day with it. It is good to work with. I have also heard that Superior's metallic is a good one, but I have not tried it yet. Guest Linda S
The metallic threads by Superior are, well, SUPERIOR! They run easily in my machine and are so very pretty! Linda
BobbieJones
I have excellent luck with Superior metallics. I love using them. I just finished an American Quilt using their gold and the thread didn't break once. I hope you enjoy using them. Bobbie
jeri
YLI's workgreat also. Sulkys are too kinky and break constantly, love Sulky's Blendables but not their metallics. .
MarkitaW
I have ordered some of the superior, hopefully it will be here by wednesday. Not much around here to carry these types of things. So most everything I get has to come through the mail... will let ya'll know how it goes. MarkitaW
I finished the pinguin quilt yesterday. I think it turned out nice. Hope the customer likes it. She will be using to teach the class. So this could be good for me (or bad). I ended up using the superior thread. It worked beautifully. I am going to try and attach some pics. Be kind. I have only been doing this for a little over a year. Thanks, Markita

quiltaholi_518
Do the regular reply, not quick reply. At the bottom you see a browse button. Go an find the pic and attach it, just like an email. Just be sure to use your photo program of choice to resize the photo down to about 500 pixels on the longest side, otherwise it will be huge. Good luck, we wanna see!

Judi
Markita - Nice work on the penguin quilt! That does look like it was nothing but FUN! I hope you sent extra business cards with your customer, or at least have some at the quilt shop - so more can come your way!

Judi
That's great! She must have been very happy and does not want you to get too busy - so that her stuff can always get done! I have a couple of ladies that think that. I try to have just a One month turn-around time. That gives me time to look at them for awhile and figure out what to do - or order in certain thread colors I might not have.
