SKQuilts
Hi everyone, I recently purchased batting on the roll and my studio is getting smaller and smaller. What should I mount under my table to put the batting on? How should I do it? Your help is greatly appreciated. We are some what do-it-yourself people but don't know where to start. I found some great ideas for wall mounts but wall space is limited. Thanks

SKQuilts
Thank you Kristina. Is that metal conduit? Wish I could just be there and see it all. Not sure what is holding the bracket to the table? Is the curved bracket that is holding the bar a common item or something you made?
witha'K'quilting
we made the hooks and welded them to my frame...the bar is 1-1/4" galvanized fence post with large washers welded onto the ends to keep the batting from sliding off while loading. cjtinkle
I bought the batting bar brackets from APQS(you can see them mounted in the first picture), and hubby planned to just buy the pole and add it (cheaper). However, (sometimes he's really annoying) he decided that the added weight of both the pole and the batting was going to be too much of a strain on the hydraulic lift, and wear it out prematurely. I got irritated at the hold up and promptly headed to Lowe's, pick up two jacks for $30 and had hubby cut me a length of schedule 40 pipe and paint it black. The pipe just sits on the jacks and it took 2 minutes to put it in place. It works perfectly. It's free standing and height adjustable too!
