krhea
I just purchased and set up a 2006 Millenium. When I activate needle up/down for bring up the bobbin thread I have problems. The needle down works fine but when I activate the needle up it won't stop. It continues to go up and down very slowly. None of the buttons will stop it. I can stitch in both stitch regulated or non stitch regulated but as soon as I hit stop it goes back to slowly going up and down again. What have I done wrong? Adn more importantly how do I fix it? Dave-Jane
My first thought, did you warm up the machine for about 5 minutes or so before sewing.? And did you get a manual that shows how to set the needle up/down sensitivity on the circuit board?--Dave B.
krhea
Thanks! I adjusted the needle up/down screw! It never occurred to me I would have to make adjustments....I just figured I hadn't put something together right!
Sue E.
The #8 screw probably needs adjustment.

jchabott
Whether I'm quilting in regulated, or needle up/down or unregulated, when I stop, the machine slows down but keeps going up and down. My machine I believe to be 2003 that was gone over or rebuilt at APQS before it was shipped to me. Any suggestions? I havent found answers in my manual which is quite old. witha'K'quilting
under the top hood cover...find the #8 screw and adjust it. with the power turned off of course. you can also put your hand on the flywheel and create resistance which will get it to stop. barbm
Here's a thread which discusses the whole "needle up/down" issue. And it may just have been transporting your Millie that caused the #8 screw to need adjusting - happened to me the first time I took my Millie on the road! Hope you get things fixed up quickly! http://www.apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=15539
