dnice
I love my golden retriever and our foster golden retriever too. I now have a bad dog and the binding on my husband's American Vet Quilt has missing binding along the edges. How should I fix the problem? 1.) cut the binding off and re-bind it less the 1/2 inch per side or do I have a notch it and try to recreate the area that was eaten. Pennyquilts
What we don't have to repair due to our pets. If it was me, I would choose #1, cut off the binding and trim the quilt and rebind. I've had to do the same thing due to a puppy. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Primitive1
I'm with Penny, no one would be able to tell after you are finished.
Quilting Heidi
I'd third Penny's suggestion.
dnice
Yep, It is cut the binding off and rebind. Luckily I have plenty of red material to use. Now to just find the right shade.... Oh, the foster is the bad dog.. But she is so cute that I can not yell at her. I placed the link to her photos if you wish to take a look. http://www.grinrescue.org/featured-golden-top-menu/803-cybil1000.html

s.waits
Oh, Denice, Cybil is just beautiful! I wish I was in the market for a new baby, but this is just not the time. I'm sorry to hear you're having to fix a quilt, but really, you know she just couldn't help herself! She was probably missing her foster daddy and decided if he wasn't around, his quilt was the next best thing! I hope you find a wonderful new home for her.
