Suzie W.
I just had a call asking me if I would do a baby quilt with a satin backing. I have a Millie and am comfortable with cottons, flannel and fleece. In all my sewing years I have never sewed satin anything--and told her I was not the one to do it at this time. It was fine with her as a hand quilter friend of mine had already offered to do it anyway. So what are your experiences with it?
witha'K'quilting
I have played around with satin and it quilts beautifully...but it leaves holes if you have to frog an area. Use a small needle and thin thread.

JustSewSimple
Ditto Myrna. Satin is so pretty when the light catches the texture. Smooth, shiny, beautiful!
Quilting Heidi
I've used it and it is absolutely beautiful to quilt. I didn't have any problems at all. I used a 3.5 needle. You should do a test sandwich and see how comfortable you feel.
quiltmonkey
It's like butta... you will love it. I am quilting a customer quilt with a satin backing (wool batting) and I'll show & tell when I'm done.
