quiltmonkey
.......I've been reading a few things and wanted to post a gentle reminder to all of us that have these machines... Every 3 to 6 months, take out your wrenches and screwdrivers and go through your entire machine and frame (and table) to make sure nothing has worked itself loose over time. Vibration over time can loosen nuts and bolts and screws. Now is a good time to get out those tools. Righty tighty. Check your table and relevel if necessary. Mother nature's earth likes to shift over time slowly;;; especially with cold and winter thawing. What could have been level 6 months ago could now have slightly moved a few degrees up or down. Always a good habit to give your bobbin area a good bath in WD40 and oil. Take off the needle plate or ruler base and blow out and clean really well. Wipe down your table and rails before and after each quilt to keep your wheels clean. Look around the wheel axles for threads that might have wrapped around it. A minute of regular maintenance makes our tables and machines hum and operate happy. It's quick and easy. Just sayin'.........

yankiequilter
Good reminders, Shana. When things hum along so perfectly it is easy to forget that things can go wrong and we need to take care of our babies on a preventive basis.
