Bonnie in Ok
I was given a large box of punch embroidery thread of all kinds. I wasn't planning on using it for that purpose but looking for ideas that could use up this large amount of thread. Any ideas ?
Calicoquilter
I'm not sure what punch embroider thread is, but could it be used to make friendship bracelets? I used to be a Girl Scout leader and the girls in my troop loved making those. They used regular embroidery floss but I know they can be made with yarn, hemp, or other fibers. sspingler
Marilyn Badger did a demo on making your own fabric using wash away stabilizer with tons of thread. One of these days I want to try it if I can talk my niece into getting me a couple bio bags from the emergency room.
Lyn Heilman
You might try couching it on to your next personal quilt with your longarm. It gives wonderful texture to the right project.
LadyLake
Noriko Endo, is an APQS Quilt Artist in Japan, that makes Confetti Naturescapes: http://park19.wakwak.com/~noriko/ If you watch her demo video, perhaps your embroidery thread could produce a similar effect.
