Huge & a lot of work! (Pics)

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Just finished another one. It was so big I couldn't photo the whole thing, even stretched up to the ceiling! Of course, my "helper" had to get in on the pics until I chased him out!:D

Hi Merry Jo,

Pretty quilt, I really like your roses........perfect for those blocks.

Now Jean, I think that the importance of kitty-cats in quilting should be recognized. If a kitty deems a quilt worthy of a nap, it must be a winner!

Hi,

Your quilt is beautiful! My little helpers do something a bit unusual and hysterical. When I run my machine, my three dachshunds start running around the machine--ears flapping, tongues wagging. I can't do anything serious while this is going on. If I stop to take a picture, they stop. Every dachshund that's been in my home has done this! I guess it's some weird reaction to the pitch of the motor. And, it hasn't matter what machine it is: I've had an Ultimate I, a Millennium and now a Liberty.

They, too, if given the chance, would try out every quilt that goes on and off the machine. I just can't let them in the studio when I have some serious quilting to do. Often I will be doing a meander on a charity quilt and they're around--literally running around!

Have a great day! I have some serious quilting to do today--no wieners!

Linda,

Yes, it was one of Emmerson's designs, or part of one anyway. I enlarged it to fit the block. Boy, was I glad when that one was done. I originally was going to do a flowery panto on it, but the quilt told me it wanted something different. Whew! I ended up doing a custom job for a basic price. Oh well, she's a friend and I wanted it to be nice. Live and Learn!

It was just a lot of work because of the size. (87 X 106, yikes!)
