buslady
Can someone tell me what is the difference between the Ultimate I and the Ultimate II.. Arm length, is the Ultimate I a hopping foot, or scooting.. or what else can you tell me? Thank you. Shirley
Deb2bie
The Ult I & II are older models of APQS machines. The I is the bigger one-larger throat or arm and the II is the smaller similar to Lenni. I know the II doesn't have a hopping foot probably the I doesn't either. That's about all I know about them except they are both work horses!!!

chrisquilter
My first Apqs machine was an Ultimate I. I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I got it. I upgraded to a Milli several years later but still remember my first machine fondly!
buslady
I bought the Ultimate II today. She is coming home tomorrow, and her name is Barby. I also got the Hartly fence, bu I can bet it will be a while before I am using it. If any of you can give me some tips, it would be most appreciated. This machine was about 40 miles away and was on a 12 foot table, so that helped me make up my mind. I have been quilting on an old Nustyle 220, so I have the feeling this will be a big step forward. I read this forum every day, and have learned so much. My old machine will be for sale, and it is truly a workhorse, but you simply cannot operate it from the front of the machine and do a good job. Hense the need for me to upgrade to a better machine for me. Thanks again for listening to me. Shirley
