Pat Kuhlman
My needle is taking forever ( yellow button) to go down and back up, what can I do about that?
ffq-lar
It's an easy fix. It varies according to model, but look in the manual. It involves lifting the hood and adjusting one screw after you have warmed up the machine for a while. It is the #8 screw on my 2004 Milli. barbm
It is an easy fix, like Linda said. It's the #8 screw on all models - under the 'hood' on 2007 and earlier, at the back for 2008 and newer. There should be a reference in your manual for "Needle Positioned." There are discussions here, but my tablet doesn't letme cut and paste!
Pat Kuhlman
Thank you, I was thinking it might have to do with the # 8 srcew, but wanted to make sure. Thank you guys again, you are all the best, I love this forum.
Guest mark
Hi Pat, How old of a machine do you have? If you have had it a while and now the one stitch has slowed down, you might want to take the left hand side cover off of the front of your machine to look inside and make sure you don't have any threads wrapped up in there causing it to be slower. If no thread, then go ahead and do the #8 screw.

o2b Quilting
I agree with Mark...start with looking for threads wrapped around inside...ask me how I know...been there, done that! I now have a flywheel cover on the machine. Inexpensive fix to prevent it from happening.

Pat Kuhlman
OMG I am so ashamed. I opened the side to look for threads, and OMG my Betty is full So thank you all for suggesting that first. I have to go down there and sweet talk her as I'm removing thread, but I think she will feel so much better when I am finished. Thank you all again, I'll let you all know if that fixed the problem.
