ETownsend Posted February 5, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2012 Rita, I used Shiva paintstiks to accent after I dyed painted the background and appliqued the leaves and Monkey. I used various rubbing plates to just get spots of color. I overdid the coloring so I had to throw the whole top in the washer to wash away some of the color. After the quilting was done, I selectively painted some of the quilting spaces with a yellow Marvy paint pen. The monkey faces were printed on the computer. Some of the black leaves are actually black fusible web that I put on top and then quilted to get a kind of transparency look to some of the leaves...
