Della
The backing was white and my thread was black so the feathers have this HUGE black vein! I can't seem to make the feather without that vein getting so heavy! What should I do?
quilted charm
My veins always get heavy too. The only way I've been able to help at all, is to not stitch the vein first. I just mark the line with chalk and then follow it. It still ends up a little heavy, but it's better. Incidentally, your quilt backside looks beautiful

Zora
If this is your quilt, and you are fine with it...who cares. If it is a customer quilt, they need to learn to make different backing choices if they are unhappy with the appearance of the back.
